Beachy Photo Shoot

The Capt. and I took Marley to the beach for a photo shoot.

I want to make a large photo strip for my living room wall and since I have a ” beachy feel” in that room, I wanted pictures of us at the ocean.

It was a beautiful day and the water was warm!

We started out walking along the beach

But Marley was more interested in hunting!

I wanted some great shots of Marley in the water, but what I ended up with were some priceless shots of The Capt.

Watch his expression change as I just clicked away with the camera!

(I have to laugh every time I look at those!)

I wanted to get a good shot of Marley sitting between us. I fully intended to crop this picture at our knees or I would have taken off the silly looking hat and covered up the shirt, ha ha. But it was such a good picture of us that I think I am going to use it as is.

One last look at the ocean before we head home.

Even though we weren’t there long, the salt water and fresh air wore Marley out, he slept all the way home!

I got some great pictures and I will reveal my photo strip soon .

We have our daughter and two grandsons here for a visit and grandpa took the boys fishing.

The problem is, when we get the boat out, Marley expects to go.

He thinks that the boat is his and he just loves boating.

I think he either needs a bigger life jacket or a diet plan!

No Chair Is Sacred

Our kids say that we treat our dog better than we treated them!

Well, first of all I say ” Marley doesn’t talk back!”

And secondly, look at that sweet face, who can resist?

It is true, Marley isn’t just a pet, he is a member of the family. I allow him to get on the couch and snuggle with me and to sleep in the bed with us at night.

But that’s not all. He has had his chubby little self in every chair in the house, no chair is sacred!

Really Marley, really?

What To Wear

As you know, we are hosting a big Easter dinner at my house this year. We will have out of state guests as well as those that live in the area. I have already started planning because there is so much to think about and do.
1. Plan the menu
2. Gather Easter decorations
3. Plan tablescape
4. Prepare rooms
5. Finish projects for decorations and table
Let’s see, have I forgotten anything?
Oh my, what about an Easter outfit!

Shall we go traditional?

Or shall we go formal?

Decisions, decisions…
I guess you are just going to have to check back after Easter to see which one we decided on.

My Boston Terrier

Marley is a rescue dog. The Capt. and I adopted him from The Boston Terrier Rescue Foundation of Florida. One of the conditions of adoption was that I take him to obedience school. You see, he was 2 years old when we got him and he had been chained outside and neglected. He is a good dog but he had no disciple so that is why they required the obedience class. Well I am here to tell you that the class was so good for me as well as Marley, that we went through all 3 levels. Marley even graduated level 3 with the title of “most improved”. He is the best behaved dog I have ever owned.
On May 18th we will celebrate his 2nd year anniversary with us.

Do you think he is content?20120322-212533.jpg

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, consider adopting one, there are lots of great animals just waiting for a good loving home.
Have a nice weekend!
