Monogramed Soap Dispensers

Good morning all, I hope everyone had a great weekend!

This morning I want to share an easy DIY project with you.

I am so into monograms right now, I just love how they look, on anything and everything.

I am having more company coming at the end of the month so I wanted to add some personal touches before they arrive.

I saw these cute hand santizers on Pinterest and decided that I wanted to do that for my soap dispensers. I removed the labels a while ago, but they are just too plain looking for me.

I was in a hurry, and did not read all of her instructions ( like I should have). I was just so excited at the prospect of the cute little bottles that I grabbed these clear window decals that I already had and printed out a whole page full of P’s, even though I only needed three.

I cut them out, stuck them onto the front of the soap dispensers and stood back to admire how cute they looked (patting myself on the back).

My excitement was short lived because as soon as the Capt. grabbed the cute little soap dispenser with his wet hands, all of the ink smudged ( and his hands looked worse than when he started) and he gave me the hairy eyeball stare.

I was not about to give up just yet. I had 3 extra P’s that I had printed out because I was too cheap thrifty to not want to waste the other half of the decal sheet. These decals have a sticky back, so I took a new sheet ( I ended up wasting using way more sheets than I had expected) and placed it over the printed monograms. I cut them out and pressed them good to remove all of the air bubbles. I applied the new and improved monograms to my soap dispensers and I am very pleased with the way that they turned out.

I don’t know how long they will hold up but I am lovin them while they last.

Did you place another window decal over the monogram you printed out to keep the ink from smudging? I love this tutorial and hope I can do it also! Thanks!

    • Yes I did and that worked well. Just know that over time, water will get in between the layers a bit, but after several months, mine still look good! Good luck with your project, I would love to see the finished product.
